Budget: $8 million
Dr. Regan was the Project Manager as well as Field Engineer for the construction of the Hotel 65 Rooms and Conference Center and Dining Facility. Project was completed on schedule and budget despite incomplete design, delayed permits and severe snow storms. Key issues that happened was Topography was incomplete which resulted in inaccurate civil and encountering severe amount of Granite and Boulders, as well as removal of trees and negotiations with local authorities.
Project was executed and completed with weekly meetings with Owner, as well as Monthly meetings with Architect and Engineers. This allows the owner to meet and execute contracts for rooms and commence funding of the program prior to opening.
Project was successful based upon project Manager and Superintendent working as a team and introducing the following:
- Resource Loaded Schedules
- Earned Value Management
- Risk Management using Monte Carlo
- Contract hedging (All contracts negotiated and locked on pricing at commencement of construction)
- Change Order Management
- RFI program electronic and immediately placed in as-built drawings.
- Field Engineering directly with Project Engineers and Architects.
